GMC Savana / Chevy Express air vent iphone 14Pro (Otterbox) phone cradle

This is a replacement air vent for GMC Savana / Chevy Express that incorporates a cradle which will allow you to mount an iPhone 14 Pro in an Otterbox case at the air vent on the right hand side of the steering wheel. A lightning charger cable can be fitted into the cradle to keep your phone charged. There is a simple damper that slides up and down to adjust how much airflow you want coming through it. There is no adjustment for the direction of airflow. In “Park”, the phone will be obstructed by the lever somewhat but you don't need to have your phone in the cradle when you're parked and it's a nice reminder when you're leaving the vehicle that you should take your phone with you.There's also a convenient pen / pencil holder located just behind the phone.To assemble, simply align the left hand side vent slot (when looking at the front of the cradle) with the arm that will protrude to the front and click the damper into place from the rear. If you want to use the lightening cable you need to push the cable in the open slot where the base of the phone is located and then pull the wire down until the connector sits snugly into it's seat.To fit it, just pop out the existing vent and pop this one in to replace it.I found that cutting the charger cover off the Otterbox made for very simple one handed placement and removal of the phone from the cradle.As always with parts that will be exposed to large temperature fluctuations, choose your filament carefully. I used PA-CF for mine. The higher temperature capabilities and the addition of the carbon-fiber should prevent warping during the summer heat as it did with a previous iteration of this model for me. Other high temperature filaments such as ASA (which is also UV resistant) should work fine.
