The main objective of this project is to create a custom enclosure that can comfortably accommodate several key components, including a USB Li-Ion charger. This charger works effectively with Li-Po batteries as well, thanks to the inherent protection circuitry present in the Li-Po batteries which prevents over-discharge. A crucial aspect of this setup involves adding a high-capacity power source, specifically a 1000 mAh LiPo battery, and a DC-DC boost converter that can efficiently convert the 3.7V output from the LiPo to the required 9V for the device it powers. Upon examining various existing enclosures, I found several issues with most of them: they were plain in design, lacked any real interest or creativity, and often featured a useless top cover. Instead of settling for these mediocre options, I decided to create my own custom enclosure from scratch. To make this process easier, I utilized the 3D model of the PCB as a reference point. However, during the modeling phase, I noticed that the bottom headers were not aligned with the holes as they should be. It's essential to double-check and potentially correct this issue for your specific PCB design. The 3D models of both the PCB and the enclosure are included within the source files, allowing you to access them easily. When printing out the box, it is highly recommended to use supports to ensure a successful print.
