GM328 Transistor Tester Case
thingiverse
This is a case for the transistor tester, commonly known as GM328. My first real 3D design, it was heavily influenced by Scrachi's GM328 Case, which shares many similarities. I drew inspiration from his work here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2070417. I aimed to keep the SMD test pad easily accessible and provide straightforward access to the TFX and lever. The printing instructions are clear; however, print the body with the front side facing down, the battery compartment on the closed side so you don't need a body support. The display cover should be printed with the straight edge facing up, while the button with the hole faces down. When assembling the tester, solder in the battery connector from the bottom side to ensure the wire fits neatly within the battery box. I used four M3x25mm screws but M3x30mm could also work. Counter sunk ones were chosen for optimal fit. A brim was required for the body due to issues with my printer, so it's possible to try printing without a brim if your printer is functioning properly. Note: The display cover is an afterthought and not necessary for the design.
