GM Screen clips for 28mm scale miniatures
thingiverse
I received an email recently about a miniature printing service offering GM screen clip bases so that you can attach your miniature to a GM screen and use it to track initiative, etc. I thought I'd try my hand at creating an open source version of that. Each of these clips is numbered 1-5 and designed to hold any miniature with a 25mm = 1in diameter base - making them suitable for almost all character minis in a game of D&D. The distance between the clip's prongs was calibrated to match the width of my GM screen, but it's still a work-in-progress so I may adjust that or find a way to make it adjustable later. There are small hooks on the bottom and sides of the holder for using a rubber band to hold miniatures in place. Again, it's a work-in-progress so I might end up recalibrating after trying out a test print. I recommend printing them on their side with "touching baseplate" supports. If you print some off and have suggestions, let me know in the comments! _______________ **Update**: After a successful test print, I'm calling this no longer a work-in-progress.
