I don't have any TPU, but I still wanted to make one of these for my broken key. I opened up the top or bottom so you can just slide a key in without needing it to be flexible. The grippy-ness of my key holds it in just fine, it's pretty hard to get in and out. You could use a few drops of glue if you're really worried about it falling out. I liked the bottom hole better because the top edges flex too much with the top hole open, but I'm uploading both so you can try them both if you want. I also added the Chevrolet logo because I wanted to. ~~Yes it is backwards on one side.~~ Edit 10.30.21: Per Foamflyinfool's suggestion I edited the cover to only have a round hole instead of a slot so heavy keys can't turn your key for you in certain circumstances per a GM recall here: https://www.mlive.com/auto/2014/06/gm_announces_another_large_ign.html I also fixed the Chevy logo so it is correct on both sides.
