GM 3800 V6 Temperature Sensor Cable Bracket
thingiverse
I created this to replace a worn-out plastic cable clip/bracket on my 2001 Monte Carlo SS's 3800 V6 engine. This bracket holds the temperature sensor cable in place, securing it to one of the bolts on the engine coolant intake. While I'm not sure if all 3800s use this bracket, mine had deteriorated over time and crumbled apart, so I needed a replacement. This new bracket takes its place, and I fastened it to the cable using electrical tape for added security. I printed it with PLA on my Makerbot Replicator 2, and so far, it has held up remarkably well despite being in constant contact with engine metal. It might be worth trying different scale settings or printing with 100% infill to better suit your car's specifications.
