Glueless wheels designed specifically for 1/10 scale RC cars are now available, with additional sizes potentially added in the future if suitable tires can be sourced for testing. The hex size is a standard 12mm. So far, I have not tested the 2WD front wheels. Support from PayPal donations would be greatly appreciated if you'd like me to continue sharing my designs. Competition cars from the 80's often featured three-piece wheels and tires that didn't require glue for assembly. This was a positive development as it allowed drivers to easily swap out tires or wheels whenever needed. The wheels I've created have an offset equal to those produced by Schumacher, adhering strictly to the regulations regarding width and diameter. Although the center ring exceeds the 60mm diameter limit, its presence is concealed within the tire, so it's unclear whether this affects regulatory compliance. These wheels are designed for use with both 4WD and 2WD rear wheels, while the front wheel is primarily intended for 4WD vehicles but can also be used on 2WD cars equipped with a 12mm hex. One notable feature of these wheels is their ability to spin true, which is often lacking in one-piece wheels. Additionally, if a tire becomes installed unevenly, it's relatively simple to reassemble the wheel, whereas glued tires are more unforgiving. Two distinct ring sizes are available for use with these wheels: loose and tight. Some tires require the looser ring while others demand the tighter ring. I've personally used Schumacher 2.2" tires with the loose ring and Chinese-made tires with the tight ring. If further adjustment is needed, it's possible to resize the ring using a slizer. Keep in mind that the tire will appear strained when only the ring is present, but it must be securely fastened for stability once assembled. Depending on the type of tire, getting the rings into place can be somewhat challenging – particularly with tight tires like those from Schumacher. For optimal performance and to allow the tire to breathe, you may want to punch a hole in the tire carcass.
