Today, makers are widely using glue guns in everyday life and production. Professionals and hobbyists alike rely on these versatile tools to bond a wide range of materials (textiles, paper, plastic, wood, etc.). The glue gun is an essential component in various creative pursuits (quilling, scrapbooking, floristry, decoration, etc.). I frequently use glue guns in my projects. I wanted to design a glue pen that could dispense precise amounts of adhesive with ease, similar to a 3D pen. So, I created a model for a glue pen featuring an electric extruder. By removing the heater from a standard glue gun, I was able to streamline its design. The body and mechanical components were fabricated using Fusion 360. Next, I printed all the details on a 3D printer. Check out my project in action at https://youtu.be/r6u5CyPdeLA. The GlueDart operates with 11mm glue rods. Now, I'm working on creating a glue pen that uses 7mm rods and a 12-volt power source.
