Today, makers worldwide rely heavily on glue guns in their daily lives and professional work. Builders, home masters, and professionals all use these versatile tools to bond various surfaces - textiles, paper, plastic, wood, and more. The humble glue gun is an essential item in many creative pursuits: quilling, scrapbooking, floristry, decoration, and others. I frequently employ a glue gun in my work projects. I've long yearned for a glue gun that dispenses precise amounts of glue with ease, much like a 3D pen. To fulfill this need, I designed a model for a glue pen equipped with an electric extruder. First, I removed the heater from a standard glue gun and set to work on creating the body and mechanical components using Fusion 360 software. Next, I sent all the intricate details to my 3D printer for manufacture. Watch as GlueDart brings 11mm glue rods into action - https://youtu.be/r6u5CyPdeLA I'm now focused on designing a glue pen tailored to 7mm rods and powered by 12-volt electricity.
