Glowing pyramid
thingiverse
Took inspiration from this instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Alien-Pyramid-Spaceship/. Modified components to fit seamlessly together. Using the colorbeam board:https://www.tindie.com/products/ColorBeam/colorbeam/, the entire pyramid lights up with a pulsing RGB LED light display. Instructions are as follows: First, I printed the pyramid using gold plastic; you can also paint it, just like in the instructable at http://www.instructables.com/id/Alien-Pyramid-Spaceship/. If you have transparent plastic, you can print panels and glue them inside for an enclosed space - I discovered clear plastic wasn't transparent enough, so I added a layer of parchment paper to scatter the light evenly. You don't need clear plastic if you follow the template in the instructable to create windows. To add some contrast, I printed the base in a different color. I will attach pins to the base and corresponding holes at the pyramid's bottom, enabling it to rest securely without moving around.
