Glowing Double Pendulum
thingiverse
*Currently a work in progress - Will update with results I found "Make Anything"'s video on his glow in the dark "pendulus". I thought it was really cool how a double pendulum was able to illustrate chaos theory in such a satisfying way, so I decided to model my own "Glow in the dark Double Pendulum" to print. Required Pieces - x2 Standard Ball Bearings (I used ABEC-9) - x2 CR 2032 Battery - x1 5mm UV LED - Glow in the dark paint Further Detail - Print x3 washers - Smaller pieces should be printed with 100% infill to prevent snapping - Both short/long lengths should be printed with around 50% infill for strength - Both short/long lengths should be printed with a raft to prevent warping - For the pivot any infill should be fine (I used 25%) - You may have to sand the edges of the bearing slightly to allow them to fit within both "lengths" (I had to step on mine to push the bearings into the "length" gaps) - The washers were printed 0.5mm bigger than the diameter of the shaft/pivot (8mm) as the plastic cooled upon printing, if your printer is more accurate (perhaps resin printers), the washers may be slightly too big
