My workspace is just a short walk away from my Glowforge, which can be a hassle when iterating on designs. Pressing the go button often requires me to get up and head over to the forge. I discovered some useful ideas online, specifically on the Glowforge forums, where people have successfully used devices like SwitchBot. I considered using this device, but needed something that was easy to use, reliable, and visually appealing. After weighing my options, I decided on this design. This simple bracket is designed to be held in place on the glass surface of the Glowforge with a thin piece of carpet tape. It's easy to remove without damaging the GF. The SwitchBot simply snaps into the bracket, making it ready for use. The Glowforge requires an in-person button press for safety reasons.
