DescriptionThis is a quite amusing use of glow sticks to create glowing glasses. These are a great way to turn normal, boring glow sticks into a more interesting toy to entertain kids. Required Pieces To create one pair of glow stick glasses, you will need: 1 connector piece (included) 2 arm pieces (length variations of 100 mm, 117 mm, 135 mm, 153 mm, 172 mm, 191 mm and 210 mm are available) (included) 2 default (6 mm diameter) glow sticks (not included) Assembly First, decide on the length of arms you were going to use, and then print the files that are required. Then, break the two glow sticks so they start glowing. Then, push either side of a glow stick into one side of the nose connector, then repeat for the other side. Next, attach the arm pieces just by snapping them onto the glow sticks or sliding them onto the glow sticks. Then, push the other end of the glow sticks into the other holes in the connector. Now, you have the option of using a rubber band in order to make the glasses extra secure. To do this, simply put the rubber band in the slot in the arms or through the whole in the arms. Printing Instructions Material: PLA or PETG (for extra strength) Supports: Yes The connector may not require supports, but probably should be printed with supports due to its round nature The arms may not require supports, but probably should be printed with supports due to their steep overhang Brim: Depending on whether you use supports, you may need a brim on these files Orientation: Print the connector horizontally on the build plate (shown in the files) Print the arms upside down on their top (shown in the files) If you enjoy this model, please leave a like and a comment.
