Glow Stick Candelabra Hollow Arm
thingiverse
An ongoing endeavor involves creating a candelabra arm with a hollow space for accommodating LED power wires. The prototype seems to have successfully formed the intended hollow interior; however, it is challenging to maneuver the limited wire around all the intricate curves. This project seeks suggestions from others on how to enhance the design or implement a clever strategy to overcome this issue. The final product features a split tab that connects to the main candelabra body. Ideally, wires should pass through this gap and reconnect with the primary structure. As of September 5th, two updated versions have been introduced: Version 07 includes a ridge along the end of the tab as a support leg, while Version 08 replaces these ridges with 'T' shaped structures to eliminate printing islands. Please print one copy for testing purposes to determine if the wires can be threaded through it (approximately a 20-minute print on a Thingomatic). Future plans include attempting to stop the print before sealing the hollow and embedding the wire in the channel before completing the printing process. Kindly share your experiences and feedback in the comments section.
