In my hiking adventures, I use a small red LED flashlight that is more suitable when staying in mountain huts due to its color. The torch originally came with a silicone strap which was not useful, so I replaced it with a glow-in-the-dark PLA 'thing' attached using high-strength thread for better visibility during nighttime trips.
