glow-in-the-dark moon lamp
thingiverse
This is a lampshade (20cm / 7.9 inch diameter) with the actual topography of the moon perfectly replicated in intricate detail. I crafted it using blue glow-in-the-dark material so it shines brightly even when the lights are off. The differences between this and the original moon lamp by 'moononournation' are: - Larger 20 cm diameter - The inner surface is spherical, while the outer surface features the exact topography of the moon, resulting in varying wall thickness that's more visible than in the original moon-lamp - It can be printed in one go without skirt or support material - A cone at the bottom serves as the print-support and should be cut off after printing - There is a hole just big enough for ordinary lightbulbs below the cone, allowing you to turn the lampshade upside-down, push the lightbulb through the hole, and attach it to the lamp-cable with a wire.
