Glow in the Dark Guy Rope Tensioner
thingiverse
When we take the family on camping trips, I experience numerous problems with my kids, other kids, strangers, and even kangaroos accidentally bumping into our guy ropes. So, to solve this issue, I came up with an innovative solution and produced a batch of them using glow-in-the-dark plastic material. Now we can camp in the dark without any issues; our midnight adventures have become a thing of the past due to no more tripping over these obstacles and accidentally bringing down our tents. This innovative solution is printed in glow-in-the-dark PLA, a unique plastic that illuminates in low light conditions. To make this work correctly, I had to print it at a cooler temperature than usual (190 degrees Celsius instead of 210). The printing settings were 0.2 layers, three shells, and a 25 percent fill. The holes in the middle are decorative only and also help save plastic filament. This unique item was created with an online CAD design tool called Tinkercad. Feel free to edit it directly on their website at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/1uAEYhwKXtg.
