Glove Holder/Dryer for Waterski gloves - Multiple Applications
thingiverse
I created this rapidly for a roommate of mine who enjoys water skiing. I noticed he was drying out his water skis' gloves at day's end by attaching them to empty water bottles, so I offered to design something basic to increase drying efficiency. The "hand" pieces could also function as golf glove storage tools (to prevent the glove from bunching up in your bag).\n\n \n \n Instructions\nTo make the complete assembly you need two of the "glove_stand_hand" pieces and one of the "glove_stand_base" models. You may need to scale the original "glove_stand_hand" upload by a factor of 25.4 since it was drawn in inches. I have added "glove_stand_hand_scaled," which will open correctly on machines set to millimeters without scaling requirements.\nThe glove stand assembly will sit upright without additional support, however there are two counter-sunk screw holes for use with screws of your choice (drywall screws work nicely). The "hand" pieces were printed at 15% infill with three perimeters. The "base" piece was printed at 20% infill and four perimeters because of the slopes on the ends, which I wanted to prevent water from entering the part.\nOther ideas that came to mind but I may not do include integrating a battery compartment in the base part, along with one or two 40mm CPU (DC) fans to help speed up drying. However, I think this wouldn't make a significant difference. Have fun making this! Please post pictures if you decide to create it! This is also a great option for golf gloves to prevent the glove from getting crushed in your bag (printing one hand will be enough).
