Gloomhaven Monster: Flame Demon
thingiverse
I transformed MZ's incredible Bone Demon model into the Gloomhaven Flame Demon. I was impressed by MZ's design, but the Flame Demon had a unique tail and other features that needed to be removed. After seeing some amazing 3D prints online, I decided to learn Blender's sculpt mode and add flame-like details to my modified bone devil model. Here's what I came up with! I spent last week figuring out how to print this model. Finally, I was able to create a version that is somewhat printable. Positioning the palms upwards greatly improved the finger quality. I included a screenshot of my Meshmixer tree supports for reference, which should help others print this model successfully. I printed it with a 0.25 mm nozzle and 0.05 mm layers; make sure your prints have similar detail levels, as there are many small features on this model. Next up is painting - I'm hoping to achieve a cooling lava effect with the pattern on his arms, back, and thighs. I wrote a blog post about how I created this remix, which you can read at http://objectforge.blogspot.com/2018/09/new-thing-gloomhaven-flame-demon.html.
