Glock Trigger Housing Adjustable Trigger Drill Jig
thingiverse
These one-time use drill jigs open up after drilling, causing you to get too close to the outer surfaces due to the holes expanding. I used a variable layer height of 0.07mm for printing in PLA, as PETG doesn't print well at lower than .15mm layer height on my Prusa Mk2s. UPDATE: R03 has a larger hole moved .015" inwards. R02 (.020" offset from R01) worked well but threads almost broke thru on the inside surface. I've used this design on 3 housings and it's worked wonderfully. R01 drill jig caused the larger drill to be too close to the outer wall of the housing, despite measurements lining up. The issue was a .020" discrepancy when drilled. I hated the stock trigger on my Gen 3 G34. I improved it with a Zev Spring kit, 25 cent polish job, and Zev Pro connector, but pre-travel and over-travel were still a problem. This drill fixture is designed for #56 (.0465", front end of housing for pre-travel) and #40 (.0980", rear end of housing for over-travel) drill bits. The front end hole is tapped for an M1.6 thread, while the rear hole features an M3 thread. I used Stainless Flat Face set screws from McMaster-Carr. To use this fixture effectively, remove the metal ejector component from the trigger housing. Drilling and tapping the M1.6 thread without the ejector allows you to adjust pre-travel before reinserting the ejector, which interferes with the thread locking the super tiny set screw in place (you cannot adjust it with the ejector installed). To remove excess pre-travel, shave down or cut off the large "foot" on the back side of the trigger safety using a pair of flush cut electronics cutters. This creates a new ledge that keeps the trigger safety functional. Ensure your printer's dimensional accuracy before drilling. A clip is used to hold the jig in place for drilling. Also, be sure not to disable any of the Glock's 3 safety mechanisms. There are multiple YouTube videos on the subject, and you can print out my Glock Armorer's plate for verifying the drop safety mechanism. See pictures for the final product and trigger safety modification.
