Human: Edit 8/21/15: THIS THING IS OBSOLETE! After extensive testing I proudly present a new, improved Universal Magazine Holster:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:977519 It vastly outshines this outdated design! Edit 6/18: Following a thorough design and testing process, I've successfully modeled and tested the clip for the new version. While it might seem minor, perfecting the clip was probably more challenging than any other aspect of the project. This project has officially entered the manufacturing phase! Edit 6/5: Lately, I've been very busy and the new version is still on paper, awaiting development. However, it's next in line for design refinement, so when time allows, I'll focus on completing it. Targeting a completion by August this year, but that's an optimistic goal. Edit 3/15: A revamped version of this holster is underway and should be finished within a month unless other commitments hinder my progress. I want to meet the deadline for next month's match. Edit 2/12: Thorough testing revealed a critical issue with the clip's ease of insertion, but filing it has made it usable. The spring proved to be too stiff initially, so a new option with a less stiff spring is being developed. While retaining the magazine effectively, I realized the holster could benefit from significant design modifications to minimize material usage in the body. My lack of mechanical engineering expertise aside, I believe this is feasible and worth pursuing: | As I printed it, I strongly advise reducing infill or opting for less solid prints. I was searching for suitable magazine pouches for competitions, but existing designs on Thingiverse often didn't incorporate spring clips, a standard feature in commercial products. This new holster incorporates a robust spring clip that can hold Glock magazines of various sizes and styles. This project's main aim is to accommodate not just standard Glock size magazines, but also smaller versions like the Glock 19/23 or even a 26-size magazine. Print instructions for optimal results: GMH_Body.stl should be printed with 100% infill using PLA or an equally rigid material.
