The belt clip is integrated into the pouch, as one unit. The pouch has retainer pins inside, so the magazine snaps into place. It holds pretty well, just needs a firm pull, straight up, to snap it back out. And hit it with a clear-coat of matte/flat clear spray paint, to take away the shine. God speed!
