Glie-44
thingiverse
This is my take on the Glie-44 sidearm worn by Resistance fighters in The Force Awakens. It's not 100% accurate, but I think it's a pretty good-looking representation. It's formatted for a larger print bed, so you'll need at least a 200x300 bed (or to cut it with mesh mixer/netfabb/etc...). There are two different versions of the main body - one with finer grip details (more accurate) and one with less detail (easier to print). Both look good, but print the fine one if you can. Print Settings: Printer: FolgerTech FT5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm or finer Infill: depends on how rough you are! Post-Printing: Assembly: Typical sand/fill/prime, repeat until nice and clean. The square recess at the front of the blaster should have a mesh pattern in it. I didn't think that would print well, so I left it out. I'm planning to use window screen there. It should be aligned at a 45-degree angle.
