Roboticists worldwide are innovating solutions to complex issues; however, these inventions often require a swift, straightforward way to move around and conduct tests. Whether it's a novel LIDAR system or a robotic arm, there is a constant need for an accurate, easy-to-attach mobility solution. The open-source mobility platform offers a precise encoder-controlled wheelbase with a standardized hole pattern, enabling simple mounting to various structures. Priced at $30 per module, the system can be shipped as a DIY kit or fabricated onsite using a 3D printer and (optionally) a CNC mill for enhanced strength. The mobility platform can be programmed via Arduino to achieve precise motion characteristics or controlled through pre-programmed instructions for quick setup.
