Savoring the taste and enjoying the complexity of fine whisky in the cockpit has never been more enjoyable. You might worry that you'll tip over the glass, but with this life saver (for glasses) your worries are gone. Drinking and flying has never been this safe before! Actual summary This print replaces the original cup holder and attaches to your cup holder of your Obutto and holds your Glencairn glass in place. It comes in two sizes, full sized sturdy cup holder and a light version that can be printed slightly more economically. Disclaimer This is for the old Obutto Cup Holder where there's separate cup and metal piece holding the cup. This will likely not fit in the new one.. Please give me measurements and I'll make a new version for the new one too. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: i3 MK3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2mm - .3mm Infill: 10%- 15% How I Designed This This was designed with Fusion 360 and Aberfeldy 18. A pinch of Glenmorangie may have been influencing the process as well. Sturdy version With 15% infill is this is very sturdy. Put your glass in it and it stays put and feels amazing to take out of it. It's like this thing was made for it! 1.75 filament, 15% infill (feel free to use less), .2mm layer height (.3mm is very much acceptable too) and settings made for Prusa i3 mk2 gives the statistics below. Build time: 6 hours 28 minutes Filament length: 33851.6 mm Plastic weight: 101.78 g (0.22 lb) Print it upside down, like a hat. Make sure you prepare for the bridging near the top. Slicing with Simplify3D and printing with Prusa i3 MK3 no problems whatsoever even with the default bridging parameters, no inflation was needed but could be used to maybe get a smoother bridging result. Light version Much more lightweight, might make a little rattle a bit when you pick up your glass, but falls back to its place every time. 1.75 filament, 15% infill, .2mm layer height and settings made for Prusa i3 mk2 print stats below. Less than third of the weight its big brother. Build time: 2 hours 0 minutes Filament length: 9837.6 mm Plastic weight: 29.58 g (0.07 lb) Print it with the big flat top against the build plate.
