Gled Law 2b (Jan 2007)
sketchfab
An exposed outcropping measuring approximately 2.5 meters by 1 meter was discovered on Gled Law, private farmland west of West Horton, Northumberland, in 2018. The site, designated 'Gled Law 2b' in the Beckensall Archive, features curvilinear grooves that form open enclosures and cups. Photogrammetry suggests the possibility of additional linear grooves aligning with existing motifs, but it is unclear whether these are man-made or natural formations. In 2008, NADRAP added the site to the ERA database: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=93. Historic England scheduled the site in 2018: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1006558. A 3D model was created from two stereo pairs captured using a 5-megapixel Nikon Coolpix 5400 camera by Joe Gibson in January 2007. The imagery is part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
