This "Endgame" chess set revamps the original glChess and Linux xscreensaver design (Thing 322616) by reducing overhangs below 45 degrees for easier slicing and printing, except for the knight. A separate support structure is provided for manual support or an auto-generated version without support is available. All pieces are scaled correctly for a standard chess board size (25% larger). Updated instructions follow the original set's guidelines with added tips on grouped printing to prevent extruder dwell and using a "cooling_tower" piece, identical to the king in height, placed far from the tallest piece for better cooling during printing. A modification to the knight support structure was made on May 20, 2014, to minimize gaps between support and piece.
