Glasses Peg System
thingiverse
I've accumulated numerous pairs of sunglasses throughout my home and vehicle, prompting me to create this solution to keep them organized and protected from potential damage. To get started, hang your glasses on a wall near the entrance so you can easily grab a pair as you head out. You'll need a 12mm square dowel, which I happened to have lying around from an old project. Drill a hole at the top of the dowel to accommodate an existing picture hook. The printed rest functions like a peg on the dowel, featuring a hole in front that allows for screwing it into place if desired - although I didn't find this necessary. This design works best with glasses frames that have slender arms, which sit flat against the dowel. Thicker arms cause the glasses to angle downward, and frames exceeding 50mm in depth won't fit on the rest. **Print Settings** * Printer Brand: Ultimaker * Printer: Ultimaker 2 * Rafts: Doesn't Matter * Supports: Doesn't Matter * Resolution: Any * Infill: 20% * Notes: For optimal printing, orientate the model to match its real-world position, such as in the 'A' orientation.
