Glasses holder for 3M 6000 full face mask
thingiverse
Allows glasses to be securely held by the bridge, enabling sides on glasses to be removed for an airtight seal around the face. This isn't a replacement for the 3M 6878/07141 spectacle kit, but rather a temporary solution until you can purchase your own spectacle kit. The key difference lies in the fact that this approach utilizes your existing glass frame or spare glasses, whereas spectacle kits come with their own custom frames. Comprising three distinct parts, part one fits snugly into the mask and features multiple holes for adjustments. Part two offset's the glasses from part one at a specific angle (you may need to print your version of part two and/or three). Finally, part three serves as a clip to securely fasten the glasses in place. Some components are parametric, allowing for easy adjustments. Designed specifically for M2.5 screws, the holes accommodate M2.5*3.8*5 brass inserts, which can be melted into place using a soldering iron (see attached images). The holes for standoffs measure 3.5mm in diameter and are spaced 11.5mm apart. Adhering to this standard, both the bottom side of part two and the top side ensure that even part three, which screws into part two, maintains an 11.5mm spacing between its holes. However, part three's holes have a 3mm diameter, as they only need to accommodate the screw thread while preventing the screw head from passing through. If you find the provided parts insufficient for your needs, feel free to create your own that better fit your face and glasses. Two variants of part two are available, along with multiple holes in part one, increasing the chances of a comfortable fit. For those who want to make adjustments but don't wish to start from scratch or resort to modifying STL files, SolidWorks source files are provided. All parts can be printed without support, as the largest overhang is just 60 degrees, making it safe to print without additional precautions.
