Glass Table Corner
thingiverse
I Repurposed a Vintage Glass Table Originally Designed for Carrying Medical Instruments into a Kitchen Staple by Creating Custom Corners. This Refurbished Piece Began its Life in a Hospital, Where It Played a Critical Role in the Organization of Medicinal Tools. Its Newfound Purpose in the Kitchen Reflects the Dynamic Adaptability of Upcycled Items. The Original Corner Units Had Degenerated Due to Prolonged Exposure to Moisture and Debris. Replaced with Strong and Durable ABS Plastic, These Components Will Maintain their Structural Integrity for Years to Come. Utilizing a Prusa i3 3D Printer, I Crafted Each Corner Piece in Accordance with Carefully Detailed Sketchup Designs Composed of Two Separate Elements: A Rigid Shaft and a Flat Plate. These Two Parts Were then Securely Attached via High-Grade Plastic Adhesives. Instructions for Assembling the Rebuilt Table Corners Are as Follows: This Custom-Made Design Requires Printing Both Components Separately, Ensuring that a Minimal Amount of Support Material (Approximately 20 Percent) Accompanies the Inherent Hole within the ABS Print. The Subsequent Joining of These Two Elements is Made Possible Through Effective Glue. If You Would Like to Customize This Piece for Your Own Kitchen Setup, You May Download the SKP Files from This Platform to Revise and Refine According to Your Preferences.
