Glass Shelf Support Holders for Models/Minifigs Display
cults3d
I designed these to hold a 3mm thick by 200mm wide glass or plexiglass shelf at a height of 130mm, accommodating my giant Lego minifigs and other models. I added small front and rear lips to prevent accidental sliding of the glass. The end holders are 15mm wide, while the middle holder is 10mm wide. The glass or plexiglass shelf stands 130mm high. Each support was made in two pieces due to my printer bed's size restriction at the time. To assemble, print the 15mm Part 1 and Part 2 - one for each end support needed (usually two supports, one at each end). Then, print the 10mm Part 1 and Part 2 - approximately one full middle support for every 1000mm of shelf, or about every 500mm. Printed in PLA, these parts snap together tightly. For glass shelves longer than 1000mm, I recommend gluing the two pieces (Part 1 and Part 2) together. You can use as many assembled 10mm middle supports as needed for your shelf's length. The Sketchup files are included if you wish to adjust the dimensions for your specific needs.
