Chemical or laboratory glasses, shaped like a simple cylinder or expanding truncated cone, are essential in laboratories. These glasses usually feature a spout for easy liquid draining and a flat bottom for compatibility with magnetic stirrers. They can be made from heat-resistant glass or plastic, with volumes ranging from 5 ml to several liters. Beakers are used for accurate volume measurements of liquids.
