Stand strong, dear friend. May your heart be your guiding light and may the gods grant you the strength you need. — Uriel Septim, 3E433. Another one of my uploads is now live! This time around, I'm sharing a glass dagger from The Elder Scrolls game series' fourth installment. The mesh for this dagger was created by Bethesda Studios back in 2005/2006 and extracted by me directly from the Oblivion.bsa file within the game directory. As with all my game props, I only use the original game mesh. Any necessary editing is done solely by me to ensure seamless integration. For instance, some seams were addressed, alignment joints were tweaked, and a minor modification was made to the small glass bulb at the back. Printing Instructions: Please note that I utilized lime green translucent PETG from Devil Design for the 'glass' components of this dagger. 1: Print the two separate grip halves without mirroring them. I opted for 12% infill and 0.2mm resolution. 2: Print the pommel vertically, using 12% infill, 2 walls, and a 4mm brim. 3: Print the glass bulb vertically, scaling it down to 98%. I used 2 walls and 0% infill for optimal transparency. 4: Print the rain guard vertically, utilizing 8% infill, 2 walls, and a 4mm brim. 5: Print the two parts of the blade vertically, using 0% infill, 2 walls, and a 4mm brim. Assembly Instructions: 1: Sand the halves of the model to improve glue adhesion. 2: File down or sand the alignment pins for easier assembly. 3: Glue all the components together. I used commonly available PVC glue for my PLA parts; it dries quickly and is incredibly durable! 4 (optional): Prime the model and paint it according to your preference or the added original texture. 5: Don't forget to showcase your finished make!
