Glass Bed Corner Shim
thingiverse
This accessory enhances rather than remakes Omegatron's design:1296854, which itself reworks DrLex's Adjustable Glass Bed Bracket. The shim fits between the printed corner and glass bed to fill space left when the glass is cut too short. I bought two pieces of glass as a build surface, but they arrived undersized. Returning them didn't work out, so I tried tightening the corners that were already printed all the way. Even then, a gap remained between the corners and the glass. That's why I designed this part. I didn't exhaustively search to see if someone else had made one first. If that's the case, I didn't mean to tread on anyone's toes. Credit isn't important to me. This write-up is geared towards new users. When I started out, many forum posts were hard to follow because they were written for experienced users by experienced users. My language and explanations might be too simple for some of you, so please bear with those of us who are still learning. I'm eager to learn from others and do things better – if there's a better way, please let me know!
