Glass Bed Clamp for WanHao Duplicator i3 v2
thingiverse
I'm still using the WanHao plaster on my heated bed, but the glass is a bit too high for me to use the original glass bed clamps. So I made some modifications to the clamps to secure the glass from moving around on the bed with screws. This remix has a thicker base to possibly reduce any warp in the printing process. I've printed and used the set of 4 clamps on my 3D printer, and they work nicely. The holes are designed for M3 screws and an M3 nut, but I had to drill with a M3 drill bit to make the screws move smoothly into the hole. The clamps seem to be working well, so far. However, if you're printing a long job, this clamp doesn't work as the screws will become loose and the glass will move slightly, causing distortions to your print. It's best to switch to an old paper clip or alternative solutions like these: You can find some great alternatives online, such as the 'Swiss' clips from Reprappro.
