I got my hands on my first glass bed, and I'm incredibly pleased with how it's turning out. For a long time, I've been relying on printed bed tops, but after only a few nozzle crashes, they became pitted and useless. I decided to give my glass bed a more commercial look by adding some flair, so I came up with the idea of using my printer to create a mask for the underside of the glass. I could then use that to paint on a logo. I picked up some high-temperature spray paint in blue and black and set to work printing my design onto the glass with PLA. Once the print was finished, I sprayed the bed black with PLA still attached after two even coats; I let it dry completely before removing the PLA and spraying the glass with blue paint - two coats again. The result was a high-resolution finish that's incredibly clear, as you can see right through the glass to the design underneath. And the best part? There have been no levelling issues, and no bed temperature problems at all.
