The DG-200, a 15-meter class sailplane produced by Glaser-Dirks since 1977, witnessed an extension of its wingtips in 1978 to transform into a 17-meter class variant. This glider shares the same era as the ASW-20 PIK-29 and Mosquito. A total of 192 DG-200 models were fabricated, with later versions featuring carbon fiber spars. The DG-200 served as the foundation for the development of the motor glider, DG-400.
