GLaDOS Potato

Decorate a Potato to Look Robotic like in Portal 2! We printed out the two parts of our GLaDOS potato using a 3D printer. Next, we gave them a coat of standard acrylic paint to bring out their robotic features. The black band that connects the two parts was made from cloth hockey tape, which we folded over and slipped through the slits in each part before gluing it together with superglue. To prepare our potato for its new robotic look, we wrapped long rubber bands around it until they were snug. Then, we carefully placed the printed parts on top of the rubber bands. To keep them secure, we used paperclips to create a makeshift holdfast and bent them into shape. After that, we stuck nails into the potato to give our GLaDOS a more robotic appearance. To connect the two nails together, we used a wire with alligator clips, but since we didn't have one on hand, we got creative with cloth hockey tape and red duct tape instead. We wrapped the tape around the wire and glued it in place to make it look as realistic as possible.
