Gladius Sword -Full Size-

Using my imagination and a couple of pictures of ancient Roman swords as references, I crafted a full-scale Gladius in Sketchup. To ensure accuracy, I measured every detail, taking note of the proportions to get it right down to size. The finished sword, all 30 inches of it, is designed to fit comfortably on a single Replicator 2 print bed, making for easy and efficient printing. By separating the various components with interlocking parts, printing individual segments becomes straightforward. Instructions: 1. First, carefully clean all printed parts using high-pressure water. 2. Using a reliable bonding adhesive, assemble all separate components, making sure to reinforce structural joints for optimal stability. 3. Following thorough sanding to smooth out surfaces, apply a coat of finish that brings the metal-like shine of Roman gladiatorial steel to life. 4. Apply paint, in any shade you prefer, to enhance and customize your finished work.
