Gladius
thingiverse
I was looking for a gladius template online to avoid having to design one myself from scratch. However, I was unable to find one that suited my needs, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and create it. This gladius template makes a great prop for any model-making project or, if you're fortunate enough to have access to a large-format 3D printer, it could even serve as a fitting accessory for a Roman Legionnaire or gladiator costume. I utilized Tinkercad to design this gladius template, which is accessible online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/xKQh1gT5y6d. Below are the step-by-step instructions I used: 1) Start by creating a sphere for the pommel of the sword. 2) Create a cylinder shape with 4 torus thin shapes for the grip. 3) Design a paraboloid to serve as the guard of the gladius. 4) Craft a roof shape, elongated and mirrored, to form the blade.
With this file you will be able to print Gladius with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Gladius.
