Glade Automatic Spray Microcontroller case
thingiverse
Here is a simple model (case w/lid) for a Glade Automatic Air Freshener. Note, the version of the Glade in the images. I designed it to house an ESP8266 however it should fit other microcontrollers such as Arduino Nano or ESP Wemos D1 with some room to spare for a simple transistor or resistor/LED circuit. My intention is to control the air freshener via my home automation system instead of having it spray every x minutes. This approach saves on air freshener refills (I'm going on 1000+ sprays on one can) and minimizes waste by turning on/off the OEM circuitry for the air freshener via the ESP as I've noticed that each time power gets applied to the air freshener it sprays, a pretty simple solution. The design is straightforward and yes, its appearance may not be elegant but it works perfectly fine for me!
