GL-3X 3 Axis Brushless Gimbal Modified For Xiaomi Yi
thingiverse
I made a custom camera carriage for my GL-3X that doesn't match the original design. The controller location prevented me from using TV out, so I designed this new carriage. It took over a week and 600 grams of ABS plastic to perfect. Many prototype designs failed during testing. Triangular parts at the back provide balance. Screw holes for mounting aren't included; you can use the original screws or hot glue instead. The camera is friction-fit into place and doesn't budge when shaken. You can secure it with velcro if needed. Both interfaces - the camera and controller connections - are exposed except HDMI out, which I don't need. That space got used for added weight to balance the design. This carriage weighs a few grams less than the original. To make one, use ABS plastic. PLA might work too, but it hasn't been tested. Here's what you need: * 240°C hotend and 100°C bed temperature * 0.3 layer height * 100% infill * Use supports to help print the design * Print the carriage as designed in the STL file * Secure the camera carriage with an M3 nut and about a 5mm bolt onto the motor shaft. Clean the hole first before adding the nut.
