Download both parts for a contoured cover designed for Gitzo tripod heads' wedge-shaped quick-release plates. The QR plates have sharp edges, causing discomfort when holding the camera. This cover aims to provide a more comfortable grip by slipping over the QR plate without removing it. Print at low infill for a lightweight yet unnoticeable addition. The two-part print consists of "top" and "bottom" shapes that glue together at a planar surface using acetone or superglue. Holes are provided for alignment, but an alternative alignment feature may be possible with more advanced design knowledge. The cover was created specifically for Sony SLT-A99 FF DSLR cameras and allows the rear LCD hinge to function properly. Slide it over the QR plate from the left side for padding on your left hand, while the right edge remains unpadded. The design ensures a tight fit without needing support during printing. Uploaded pictures will showcase the cover's performance. Further modifications may include increasing the length and tapering the lefthand side for improved grip.
