Watch this video for more information: It's time to dive into another 3D design, taking us back in time a decade to bring Gir from Invader Zim to life. I've included two files - one featuring the Gir model alone and the other showcasing the same model with tree supports added using MeshMixer. I crafted this model within Fusion 360, aiming for a single-piece print that would require minimal supports. The tree supports in MeshMixer were used to test out their functionality, although some unwanted artifacting did occur - an issue I would have preferred to avoid altogether. This design was printed on my trusty Robo 3D R1 using Hatchbox White PLA. Key Print Settings: Layer Height: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Supports: Yes Raft: No Post-Processing Steps: Step 1: Smooth out any rough spots with sandpaper or a file. Step 2: Apply several coats of plastic primer, allowing each coat to dry completely before proceeding. Step 3: Paint the gray/silver areas using Krylon Hammered Metal spray paint. Multiple coats are recommended, with sufficient drying time in between applications. Step 4: Bring out the details by painting the teal-colored eyes and joints as well as the black on his mouth using water-based acrylic paint and a paintbrush.
