Gio Ponti, a visionary Italian architect, designed a stunning wall-mounted magazine rack that embodies his "organized wall" concept, a modular system of interlocking elements serving distinct functions. Born on November 18, 1891, in Milan, Italy, Gio Ponti left an indelible mark on the world of architecture and design. A true mastermind, he excelled as both an architect and designer, making significant contributions to the furniture sector. As a testament to his innovative approach, Ponti's three residences in Milan showcase his distinctive "Ponti" style. The first house, located in Via Randaccio in 1925, Casa Laporte in Via Brin in 1926, and the final one in Via Dezza in 1957 demonstrate his mastery of home design. Ponti was a pioneer in industrial design, advocating for sophisticated, affordable, and modern interior furnishings. In collaboration with Molteni&C, he designed furniture and decor that embodied these principles. The result is an exclusive collection of limited-edition products available only through these private homes. Following an extensive research project, selection, and refinement process, the Gio Ponti collection made its debut at the Salone del Mobile 2012. This showcase was made possible through a joint effort with Cerri & Associati Studio and the cooperation of Ponti's heirs.
