I'm going to print out this wand for a neighbor's kid, but the sharp point has me a bit apprehensive. This might not be much safer, but it's about 3.5mm across and rounded/blunted so it shouldn't easily pierce skin or make holes in clothes. I still think eye protection should probably be advised or something.
