Gingery Compound Slide

This is my attempt at recreating the gingery Lathe Compound Slide, set up as a split pattern. You may need to sand it (depending on your printer's quality) to get a smooth finish. I used 320 grit sandpaper to smooth out the edges and successfully cast the part. If you notice pulling along the wear pads when drawing the pattern, it's likely due to an inside 1/4 inch part at the bottom that needs to be smoothed out with a slight draft (less than one percent). I used a scrap piece of wood, 1 inch by 1/4 inch by 4 inches, for this purpose. If there is any overhang, it will pull sand up onto the pads as you draw the pattern. I have most of the lathes' patterns modeled and will add them here once I've actually cast them. The holes can take a 1.5 dowel to guide the two parts during ramming. Use parting powder on the part before ramming. I used two long drywall screws threaded into the other holes to pull the pattern. The carriage was added on February 23, 2017.
