Gingerbread man woman ornament (moving)
thingiverse
Inspired by vintage wooden decorations that adorned homes during the holiday season, I designed two 3D printed figurines. The male and female models were created to mimic the classic ornaments found on Christmas trees. To assemble the figures, body parts should fit snugly together; however, a small amount of glue can be added for extra security. To bring these decorative pieces to life, paint them with puff paint or similar textures that resemble icing. This will give them a festive appearance reminiscent of traditional holiday treats. The printing process began by creating two bodies, two arms, and two legs. Next, thread or fine string was threaded through the holes in the arms and legs, then routed through the bottom of each figure. The threads were gathered together and gently pulled down to create a joint that allows for movement of the limbs. Using wood fill PLA with a 0.2mm layer height, I achieved a realistic texture and detailed design that mimics traditional wooden ornaments.
