The Gingerbread Man ran wildly out of control, his bright red and green stripes glowing like embers as he careened through the streets. He was a master of evasion, always staying one step ahead of the children who sought to catch him. With a flick of his icing-topped arm, he sent a nearby candy cane flying into the path of a pursuing toddler, dodging at the last second with a wicked grin spreading across his face.
