Gingerbread House Cutters

My family has long made these Gingerbread Houses a tradition, and now that I've transformed them into easy-to-use cookie cutters, you can too. I'm sharing my father's pattern for the houses he created, along with my mother's recipe and instructions. For over 15 years, I've enjoyed building and decorating one house every Christmas since I was 18 months old. The recipe is for a classic gingerbread that tastes great and holds up well as a construction material for these houses. The houses can be baked and stored for up to a year before being decorated. Along with the pattern, I'm including our royal frosting recipe, which works wonderfully as a strong adhesive to hold the structure together. When decorating these houses, use a pastry bag with a #17 nozzle to apply the frosting as you go, in areas where you want to attach the candy. Be sure not to apply too much frosting before placing the candy, as it will harden and make it impossible to bond the candy to the surface. Decorate with your favorite holiday candies; above is a picture of last year's candy selection at our decorating session. Hard sugar candies like candy canes or ribbon candy will melt within a few days once attached, so they're not recommended if you plan on keeping this around for a few weeks. Once finished decorating the house, wrap it in plastic wrap to help keep the gingerbread from absorbing moisture from the air. Attached are the files needed for the cookie cutters and a PDF format for the recipes, baking, and assembly instructions. Soon, I'll be uploading a miniature version of the house as well as a barn-style house. Printer Settings Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Any Notes: Please use PLA for this print. You'll need to print out one of each of the 7 cutters. They should all be straightforward to print. When printing, make sure the blade is strong; otherwise, there's a risk of breaking after continued use. The blade is designed for 0.8mm thickness (2 perimeters with a 0.4mm nozzle), so ensure you get at least 2 passes with your code. The parts are all labeled on the bottom print surface to help you distinguish between them once printed out. Post-Printing The only post-processing needed would be to remove any stringing that occurs during the printing process. Although harmless, you probably don't want to bake these into your houses.
